Doubters, naysayers and other gifts

They told you that you couldn’t do it.

They doubted you before you even made a single move.

They didn’t believe in you because they couldn’t REALLY SEE you.

They only heard their own stories of inadequacies and doubt.

They didn’t see how brightly the light shone within you, because it was dimmed by their own dark, toxic beliefs.

They couldn’t see the drive and passion within you, because their flame had fizzled and their dreams were dead.

They didn’t know how to support you, because their beliefs stood in front of them like a brick wall… blocking any movement forward.

THEY… are your GIFTS!

YES.

THEY…

ARE.

YOUR.

GIFTS.

Through adversity, doubt, disbelief and lack of support, you have risen from the oppressive hand of other’s doubt.

And, be very clear… it was THEIR OWN SELF-DOUBT they were voicing. It had nothing to do with you.

But, still, you received the gift.

They were the fuel, the catalyst that led you to push HARDER.

LONGER.

Until your hands were blistered, and your spirit questioned if you could go on for one.more.inch.

And?

You did.

Because, they were NEVER right about you, and inside you always believed… IN YOU.

You felt the fire burning inside. It never cooled – only ignited higher… along with your dreams and willingness to take action to make them come true.

So today, THANK THEM… the gifts.

Because they were actually always there for you in the way YOU REALLY NEEDED.

They blocked the path and made success more difficult… so that the only one you had to lean on, to depend on?

WAS YOU.

That’s quite alright, though, my friend.

YOU were the only one you’ve ever really needed to BELIEVE IN YOU in the first place.
